Eliminating all emotion is actually not a good thing to do, but a way to control your emotions instead of letting them control you is all about "focus" and mental toughness. If you have a task or goal, you block out and ignore the outside things that slow you down from reaching that goal...You concentrate on what you want and stay singleminded about reaching it....It's the military approach....Whether it's pain or obstacles, those are not what you're thinking of. You're thinking only of the goal and objective....Focus, focus, focus
